Growing up in a family that loved the Lord was a blessing in my life. Having family members that were grounded in God's word helped to influence me to live for the Lord. Most Sundays, my grandparents would drag my brother and I to Trinity Baptist Church. There I attended for almost twenty two years. There I learned God's word, built lasting relationships, accepted Christ as my Savior, and finally submitted to the call of ministry upon my life. In January, 2006, I followed the calling of the Lord to Sargent Baptist Church to assume the position of youth minister. Soon after, on March 24, 2006, God allowed me to marry the most beautiful woman in the world. I am also attending Brewton-Parker College to receive my bachelor's degree in ministry, and hopefully, one day go on to receive a doctorate. As youth minister, God has allowed me to learn and grow in Him. I rejoice in every moment I get to spend with our students and desire that their hearts will grow closer to the Lord. |

MINISTER OF MUSIC - Reverend Harry White |

Reverend Harry is originally a Fayette County native, he graduated from Fayette County High School in 1965. He has a Bachelor of Religious Education from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, graduating in 1986. He has served at various churches in Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina as associate pastor, interim pastor, minister of music, minister of education, minister of children's work and youth minister, both on a full time and part time basis. He has been leading music for over 40 years and has served at Sargent for over 12 years. He and his wife, Loretta, have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They live in Coweta County. Rev. White works as a Social Worker at the Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto. He has been there for over 19 years. |

CHURCH SECRETARY - Dale Westbrook |
|
Dale joined our staff in January 2007. Before coming as our full time secretary she worked in our local community as the Office Manager of an assisted living/Alzheimer's community. Dale feels that the Lord has lead her here for a reason. She lives by Psalm 71:16 - 'I will go in the strength of the Lord God.' Dale and her husband Jeff, have two grown children, and four grandchildren. They have two younger sons, Matthew and Mark, who are very active in the youth group here. |
